Summary
On the borderland between this world and the world of Quiddity, the sea of our dreams, sits Everville. For years, it has lived in ignorance of the gleaming shore on which it lies. But its ignorance is not bliss. Opening the door between worlds, Clive Barker delivers his characters into the heart of the human mystery; into a place of revelation, where the forces that have shaped our past - and are ready to destroy our future - are at work.

JUST DO IT.....
Well, I've read this book several times, I mean, come on, there's nobody out there who writes like our Mr Barker.
this is a first though..... having it read to me, just joined AUDIBLE n I lurrrve it!!!
if I could change anything it would be to stop men doing women's voices, never heard one that doesn't make me wanna wince! Sorry guys but notching your normal voice up a bit just don't cut the mustard, I know it's not as easy as just 'getting a lady in' however.......
so, from a former die-hard TALKING BOOK hater.... I am a convert and CLIVE BARKER is a God and EVERVILLE is a stonking good read....
JUST DO IT.......

Superb follow up to The Great and Secret Show.
This is a great Story. Superb narrative and amazing back story. Clive Barker has the most unique imagination in literature. My only criticism in the constant graphic sexual references. Every other page it seems someone is either having it, wanting it or imagining it. Some references make sense but it seems many of the others are completely irrelevant to the story.
The narrator has a good voice and tells the story well. it is a very good follow up to The Great and Secret Show. Can't wait for book 3, hurry up Mr. Barker!

great read again...
What a love story and homage to the fantastique. Everville is the sequel to The Great and Secret Show, of course, and is the second book of the art (book 3 still not written). it is a weighty tome, an adult fantasy at one level and a philosophical treatise at another, expertly and poetically written with passion and compassion. One of Barker's best works that stands head and shoulders above books like The Scarlet Gospels.

Epic Dark Fantasy Horror From A True Master
Everville is the epic sequel to The Great and Secret Show. Although you could probably enjoy this story having not read the first book, I highly recommend you seek it out before diving into this one.
This book was written during Clive Barker's strongest period in the early '90s.
Barker seamlessly draws inspiration from many different genres, including horror, dark fantasy and romance, to create a truly unique and astonishing work of fiction.
Chet Williamson once again provides a masterful narration. The way he gives individual personality to each and every one of the numerous characters really shows a narrator at the top of his game.
Everville is one of my favourite Barker novels, and this Audible version certainly does not disappoint. Highly recommended.
