Summary
The next must-listen thriller from Sunday Times bestselling author Richard Madeley
When Nick Wychwood loses his wife Elise in a shocking accident, he is left to bring up their daughter Lucy on his own. A move from Cornwall to the Cotswolds should give them the fresh start that they need, a tranquil setting where they can put tragedy behind them and forge new friendships.
But Lucy, as a teenager, is fragile, vulnerable, easily led… She is shy and hesitant. When someone offers her their shoulder, the warmth and understanding, even love, that she thinks she needs, she is readily accepting.
But this ‘someone’ is online, cajoling, manipulative, uncontrollable, and setting a devastating trap…

Captivating
Well who knew Mr. Madeley had this kind of twisted imagination. It’s amazing for all the wrong reasons. Meaning I couldn’t stop listening and needing to find out what happened next in this harrowing tale. The description and voice of the main character were spot on. I knew just the type but mine had the added belly hair on the overhang and builders bum. And the Dad was Madeley himself due to the language used. I really enjoyed this book and I’m glad I caught him promoting it on ‘This Morning’. I wasn’t aware Richard wrote books, so I am pleasantly surprised at this one. I’m definitely a big fan now and will be looking for more. Highly recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it quickly drew me in and I soon became invested in the characters. A satisfying end to the story. Who would of thought I would enjoy a book written by Richard Madeley! Well I shall certainly look for more.

Gripping story
Wow , did expect that ! Bought the book on the previous reviews. Was not expecting such a story. It’s a tragic story but that does not take away from how it’s a one that you want to keep listening to . Highly recommended

It was ok.
The storyline/plot was different, which led me to buying the book.Early on in the book everything became predictable, which spoilt it for me as I like the mystery of not knowing & guessing. Narrator was ok, not the best I’ve heard. In summary it was all a bit bland.
