Der Tote vom Potsdamer Platz scheint Teil einer Mordserie zu sein, deren Spur weit nach Osten führt. Während Charly als Küchenhilfe ins Haus Vaterland eingeschleust wird, ermittelt Rath in einer masurischen Kleinstadt nahe der polnischen Grenze und gerät in eine fremde Welt.
