Summary
In the distant past, a time of magic and swordplay, there lived Harold, the mightiest lich of all, a master of arcane sciences, and a challenger of gods. After reaching the pinnacle of his power and finding it surprisingly bland, Harold waged a cataclysmic war against the gods, aiming to shatter the very system that confined him.
He took a nap, but he is awake once more.
Upon discovering that the new gods have been using some of his phylacteries as batteries to sustain themselves and grow more powerful, Harold has decided to take back what is his. He won't be alone. Accompanied by his faithful butler and maid Alex and a limpet that just won't leave no matter how often he teleports her over the nearest lake, Harold journeys north and east.
The Flaming Steppes await. An untamed land where great mantises roam and where a few fiery sects have made their homes, cultivating and growing in one of the harshest environments in the Divine Kingdom.
They are not prepared for Harold and his companions.

Moar Moar!
I really enjoyed listening to this series! The story's super fun, witty, clever, and highly entertaining. The additional characters were brilliant! Captain 17 was hilarious. I need more Rem and Alex!
The narration, as always, was fantastic! Justin Thomas James and Gary Furling were such a joy to listen to!

A great romp of silliness
Having listened to the first book, I thought I knew what to expect with the second. But from the very first chapter, the story took unexpected and very funny directions. It's a great romp of silliness, with really great voices and I highly recommend it!

Send in the Bones
Another great puntastic time!
Overall a good improvement over book one. The focus seemed a bit scattered though, bouncing between characters. But still a fun listen.

Really, REALLY good!!!!
Has the same energy as the first one, but is also way better. This one removed all the annoying things in book 1, and made the good stuff even better.

A wonderful addition to the series
Genuinely made me laugh aloud a number of times. This book finally made me admit, I've got more to learn on the subject of word play, to the point I rewound a couple times to make sure I got all the jokes. The narration is fantastic, its always a pleasure to listen to JTJ and I love the jaunty soundtrack. I'd like to give a shout out to Gary Furlong as well (not that I shouldn't mention the wonderful work of Dorrie, Jeff and Annie who are always phenomenal), who performed wonderfully as 17.

More PUNishment
Like the last in the series, this book is full of bones to choke on. You could even say it was Ribveting. for real though, if you liked the last this will be as much pun.
My only nag is i kind of want more of alex and limpit annoying our bone daddy protagonist, but overall this was a small bone to pick and i enjoyed it alot.
p.s. Sorry for the bad word play and puns, but you could say im stuck in the bonement

Soundbooth do it again
An excellent audiobook the story is good but it really comes to life pardon the pun because of the skilled full cast and subtle music. The narration is really well done, the story varied and there is some interesting ideas, humour and fun characters.
If you enjoyed the first book you should enjoy this one, a most enjoyable listen.

A absolute Joy.
Delightful and genuinely funny sequel. Rem, Mem and Limpet are great characters. Top notch voice work by the cast.

PUNpetual PUNctual PUNishment
Stripping this book down to its bare -bones-, it is most assuredly a book with a -spine-. Unafraid to play with -dead tired- jokes it still manages to -raise- a laugh.
The characters old and new are warm and welcoming, even those with more of a -chill touch-. The new mantis sisters may -bug- some but personally just rem-embering them leaves me mem-smerised. While Harold's humour can seem a little -skeletal- his apprentice the limpet really ma 7nages to -stick- to you. Of course I would be remiss if I didn't mention Alex, who's -cat-like grace was -maid- round out the trio.
SBT have done amazingly with -Theatre- level quality. Justin's -haunting- tones, aswell as the -humerous- additions from Dorrie and others really make a book worthy of the -undead-
