Summary

Private Detective Cormoran Strike is contacted by a worried father whose son, Will, has gone to join a religious cult in the depths of the Norfolk countryside.

The Universal Humanitarian Church is, on the surface, a peaceable organisation that campaigns for a better world. Yet Strike discovers that beneath the surface there are deeply sinister undertones, and unexplained deaths.

In order to try to rescue Will, Strike's business partner Robin Ellacott decides to infiltrate the cult and she travels to Norfolk to live incognito amongst them. But in doing so, she is unprepared for the dangers that await her there or for the toll it will take on her...

Unstoppable, The Running Grave moves Strike and Robin's story forward in the epic, unforgettable seventh instalment of the series.

Long but so worth it

Loved this, so glad everything explained at end as easy to forget bits. Cannot wait for next instalment. Narration by Robert Glenister was perfect as normal can’t be an easy job.

Phenomenal!

I’ve listened to it twice now, and I’m just blown away by how good this book is. This series just gets better and better! I’m not sure how I’ll cope whilst waiting for the next. Just listen to it already 😅 As always - best narrator ever!

It may be a fault in my self but I love long books. This not only one the best but is the best detective I have ever read. The last Strike books did not work an audio work. This does. Please many books Strike books
The narrator is sublime.

Gripping story, fantastic narration

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this. it's a great tale. It's good to see Robyn gaining confidence!

I've listened to a lot of audiobooks and learned over time that even the best of books can be destroyed by poor narration. Robert Glenister has to be an inspired choice. He makes the book come alive.

Big fan of the Galbraith/ Glenister combo.
